Learning Disabilities

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a complex developmental disability. It can impact one's social communication and interaction skills as well as their behaviors and overall functioning. Symptoms can range from mild to severe. This evaluation is our most comprehensive assessment.  We begin with an interview of concerns whether it is for your child or yourself.  We will develop an individualized assessment plan that will include addressing  intellectual, academic, adaptive, direct Autism assessment, social functioning, and possible language assessment to see if criteria are met for an ASD diagnosis  and determine appropriate services. We conduct evaluations for Autism for all ages include Adults.  Adult Autism is more complex to diagnose; however, we are highly experienced and able to provide valid results.

ADHD is a Neurodevelopmental Disorder that impacts attention and/or hyperactivity. This evaluation will assess you or your child's intellectual development, academic skills, and  their ability to plan, organize, maintain attention, and manage multiple tasks at once. The activity level of yourself or  your child’s will be assessed.  We will  address distractibility,  performance,  and behaviors at school, in the home, and in social settings.  The complete evaluation will be considered when determining if criteria are met for ADHD and developing appropriate

supports.

A Specific Learning Disorder or Learning Disability is characterized by substantial impairment in reading, writing, or mathematics. Such academic underachievement is unexpected based on the presence of sound cognitive abilities, appropriate instruction, and motivation. This evaluation will assess the academic strengths and weaknesses of you or your child.  When early identification and intervention occur, extended problems with schoolwork and related low self-esteem can be avoided. Learning evaluations can also be helpful in determining if a student is eligible to receive accommodations in college or for College Board exams. No matter one’s age, a learning evaluation can help identify potential supports to help promote performance at school and beyond
